Canopy House

The site came with three mature rain trees and a family unwilling to lose any of them. So the house negotiates: the plan splits into two pavilions that slip between the trunks, joined by a glazed bridge in the canopy.

Living spaces sit at first-floor level among the branches, with bedrooms below in the cool shade. Roof decks catch the evening breeze above the leaves.

The structure is a light steel frame on pad foundations, placed by hand to protect the root zones — not a single tree was harmed in construction.
