Atelier 27

Atelier 27 rejects the corporate office playbook. The floorplate is organised like a workshop: a central 'bench' spine for making, ringed by quiet rooms for thinking, and a materials library at its heart.

We kept the building's raw concrete frame exposed and layered it with white oak joinery, undyed wool acoustic panels and unlacquered brass that will patina with use.

Every desk, shelf and light fitting was drawn by the studio and made within 40 km of the site — a supply-chain experiment that cut fit-out carbon by a third.
