Casa Alba

Casa Alba is a study in passive comfort. Thick lime-washed masonry walls and shallow brick vaults hold the night's coolness through the day, while full-height shutters tune the sea breeze room by room.

The section does the work: air enters low on the windward verandah, rises through the double-height living hall, and leaves through clerestory vents — no mechanical cooling anywhere in the house.

Furnishing is spare and robust: cane, canvas and stone, chosen to age gracefully in salt air.
